John L. Heller, CPA, MBA, CIRA
Mr. Heller is currently a manager at Barbee & Associates and has been an associate since his professional career began in 1992 as a staff accountant.
Mr. Heller has performed forensic accounting, litigation support and management duties for bankruptcy, insolvency and litigation clients including numerous debtors, receivers, and panel trustees as follows: temporary business management of Chapter 11 properties and businesses; forensic review and retrieval of books and records; identification and retrieval of concealed assets; preparation of preferential and insider fraudulent payment analyses; preparation of claims objection analyses; preparation of solvency analysis; preparation of Chapter 11 periodic reports; preparation of forecasts for continued operations; preparation of liquidation analyses for Chapter 11 confirmation; preparation of Chapter 11 bankruptcy schedules and statement of financial affairs; and litigation support and testimony relating to the above items.
In addition to working with numerous U.S. Trustee’s and State and Federal Receivers, Mr. Heller has conducted investigations in conjunction with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and U.S. Attorney’s Office.
